Winery Nastl from Langenlois in the Kamptal valley is a well-known producer of Grüner Veltliner in Austria.
What makes Nastl wines unique?
The family-winery is run by Christian in 13th generation now. With so much experience and vineyards in renowned sites like Steinmassl, Käferberg, and Kittmannsberg, this provides the foundation for expressive Grüner Veltliner and Riesling wines. Additionally to this foundation in the vineyard the international experience from Christian internships in New Zealand the USA and Germany is the key to great wines. Those wines capture the essence of the terroir of Langenlois and transport it with every sip of wine.
The history of winemaking in this family dates back to 1656 when wine was mentioned the first time in our recorsd. In 2001 the idea was born to combine the typical old cellar, which is craved into the deep layer of Loess with a new cellar that can meet all the requirements for state-of-the-art winemaking. So the new cellar was inaugurated with the first harvest in 2003. The cellar futures 3 floors and the grapes take the way of gravity to turn from grapes to mash and finally from juice to wine.

Organic viticulture centres around the promotion of healthy, fertile soil by advocating responsible soil cultivation methods and plant protection products and strengtheners of natural origin, with the aim of improving the resistance of the vines.
