Johanna Schup:
As the first daughter of the Schup winegrowing family, she and her brother have been involved in the family business since 2019.
Her passion for wine was also instilled in her. Through her training at the Wine Academy (WSET) and internships in Burgundy, Nuits St. Georges with Francois Legros, she developed a particular love for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Gregor Schup:
Gregor, already the VI of his generation, could not help but follow in his family’s big footsteps.
As a perfect complement to Johanna’s Burgundy experience, after his training and first practical experience at Schloss Gobelsburg, Gregor also moved to France to one of the best wine regions in the world: Bordeaux.
Here he was able to broaden his experience at Chateaux Latour, as the first Austrian intern. Their love of aged wines remained with them even after their experience abroad, and the touch of French influence is still a distinguishing feature of their wines.

According to Austrian Wine Law, the indication ‘suitable for vegans’ or reference to belonging to a relevant association are permitted if no animal products (egg, milk, casein) have been used in production.
Organic viticulture centres around the promotion of healthy, fertile soil by advocating responsible soil cultivation methods and plant protection products and strengtheners of natural origin, with the aim of improving the resistance of the vines.
Sustainable Austria: From the harvesting of the grapes through to élevage and bottling, the entire production process is examined and evaluated in relation to its contribution to sustainability.
